Biography
Overview
Marian brings a diverse compliment of skills and attributes to any team. Her background and education are in: Leadership and Training (M.A.), Advanced Information Technology; Counseling and Social Services, personal and group development, and wholistic approaches bridge fluidly into any setting. Professionally, she has held positions Executive Director, Program Coordinator and Manager, Life Skills Coach, Employment Group Facilitator and Career Counselor in a variety of organizations, i.e., Technical institutes, Colleges, Aboriginal organizations, and Non-Profit Society agencies since 1979.
Education
Completed a M.A. in Leadership and Training at the Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC (2003 - 2005). Thesis: Indigenous Leadership, Challenges, and Leadership Training
Completed the Application and Management of Information Technology (AMIT) training at the University of Victoria AMIT Program, an intensive project-based and team-focused IT program offering: Microsoft 2000 Professional, PowerPoint, MS Project, Networking, Security, Computer Fundamentals, Servers; Database Development: Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, MS Access, Web-based ASP; Website Design: HTML, UltraDev Dreamweaver, Flash 5.0, FireWorks, PhotoShop 6.0, CSS, ASP Servers; Project Management and Systems Analysis
